This course focuses on the application of the 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual used by the Army Corps of Engineers and numerous state governments. Course material also includes official Corps training materials. Learn the technical guidelines for wetland delineations, field indicators of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology, methods for making jurisdictional determinations, methods to apply in disturbed areas, and recognition of problem wetlands. Class time is divided between lecture and field work. Receive a Field Guide for Wetland Delineation and Lecture Notes.

This course satisfies the requirements for basic delineation training as specified by the Corps of Engineers and certification programs in many states.
