| Dr. Paul Adamus
is part of the research faculty at Oregon State University, where he
supervises graduate students in ecological and geomorphic studies of
wetlands and other ecosystems. More than 25 years ago he authored one
of the first functional assessment methods (WET) intended for national
use. He has since authored Oregon's HGM methods for coastal
and inland wetlands, trained professionals in their use, contributed to
the development of Michigan's rapid assessment method (MiRAM), helped
develop ecosystem credit trading systems, and designed and directed
regional assessments of wetlands in CA, AK, OR, WA, CO, and ME. He has
authored or co-authored dozens of government publications, book
chapters, and an encyclopedia section on wetlands. He recently compiled
information on mitigation performance measures for federal agencies.
