Vegetation Establishment for Constructed Wetlands

4 Days - $850

This course includes practical guidelines for choosing and planting vegetation in restored and constructed wetlands.  Wetland zonation and adaptation of plants to hydrologic zones are emphasized.  Herbaceous and woody plants are included in both classroom and field exercises.  We review and compare acquisition of plants from various sources including wetland soils as a source of plant propagules.  On completion, participants should be able to prepare wetland planting plans, acquire plants, and supervise planting involving most types of plant propagules.

This course is taught by Gary Pierce, Ph.D.

Hickory Corners, Michigan May 6-9, 2008
