Wetland Delineation with Emphasis on Soils and Hydrology

6 Days - $1350

“Very well organized, great combination of field work and lectures, the level of expertise of the instructors was excellent.”

Sue – Missoula, MT

This course combines the Basic Wetland Delineation course with elements of the separate Wetland Soils and Hydrology course. It is a cost effective means to learn basic wetland delineation while developing a stronger foundation in important aspects of soils and hydrology. Staff includes a soil scientist, a hydrogeologist, and a delineation instructor. In addition to receiving the Field Guide for Wetland Delineation and lecture notes, each participant will receive a Munsell Soil Color Chart and, upon course completion, a certificate of training. This course satisfies the requirements for basic delineation training as specified by the Corps of Engineers and certification programs in many states.

This course is normally taught by three of the following: Newling, Parker, R. Pierce, Straw, Teaford, Whited, and Brady.

Whitefish, Montana September 8-13, 2008

An Agenda provided here for the Wetland Delineation with Emphasis on Soils and Hydrology course is from a previous course.  While drastic changes are not anticipated, due to the changing nature of what the instructors feel is critical to teach, please be aware that the topics covered in the agenda may not be exactly what will be covered in a future course.
